Day 1: Cusco – Pisac – Urubamba (Buffet lunch) – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

At 8:20 a.m., we will pick you up at your hotel with our tourist bus to begin the excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and visit various archaeological sites such as Pisac and Ollantaytambo.

Our first stop will be at the typical local artisan market of Pisac, where you can explore a variety of products such as alpaca and wool sweaters, scarves and hats. We will then head to the archaeological site of Pisac, located about 10 minutes away on foot. Here, you will enjoy a guided tour of approximately one hour to explore highlights such as the agricultural area, the Inca cemetery, and the temple of the sun.

After Pisac, we will continue towards Urubamba on our bus and around noon we will stop at a typical restaurant to enjoy a traditional Peruvian buffet lunch.

After lunch, we will head 30 more minutes to visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. Here, you will once again admire the impressive Inca constructions and the beauty of the local community with their traditional costumes. We will conclude our visit to the Sacred Valley around 3:45 p.m.

(The train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes leaves at 4:36 p.m., arriving in Aguas Calientes at 6:20 p.m.).

After the tour, we will take you to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you will board the train at 4:36 p.m. to Aguas Calientes (town of Machu Picchu). The train trip lasts approximately one hour and 45 minutes to Aguas Calientes, where our transfer will be waiting to take you to our hotel (Night in hotel).

Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

Early in the morning, we will take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu, a short trip of approximately 30 minutes. During the bus tour, you will be able to enjoy the impressive landscapes full of plants and flowers, as well as have a view of the Vilcanota River. Then, we will explore Machu Picchu with the guidance of our professional for approximately 3 hours. Afterwards, you will have free time to further explore the Inca citadel and capture photos at your preferred locations.

If you want to visit Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, you can do so after our guided tour if you have an entrance ticket.

At the end of the visit to Machu Picchu, we will return to Aguas Calientes by bus, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch. You will then take the train back to Ollantaytambo, and finally, a bus back to Cusco (be sure to arrive at the train station 30 minutes before departure time).
