The Salkantay Machu Picchu Tour 4 Days. It is one of the best hiking excursions that leads to Machu Picchu, the wonder of the world and cultural and natural heritage of humanity. DAY 1: Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa

To start the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu 4 Days, Our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:30 a.m. and then you will travel for 2 hours in private transportation to Mollepata, where you will have a homemade breakfast. Then, continue your journey for 40 minutes to Challakancha and begin the hike for 2 and a half hours to Soraypampa, which is the place where you will spend your first night of camping. After lunch, take a 3-hour hike to Humantay Lagoon. There, you can appreciate the beautiful views of the green lagoon with a snow-covered mountain in the background. At 5:30 pm. Hot drink time, 6:30 p.m. Enjoy your dinner and spend the first night of camping.

DAY 2: Soraypampa – Huayracmachay – Chaullay – Sahuayaco Beach

Today will be an arduous day because you will pass to the highest and coldest point of the Salkantay trek 4 days and also travel by local minibus. Have breakfast at 5:30am and start walking to the highest point. From the Abra Salkantay, enjoy excellent panoramic views of the towering snow-capped mountains. After all, begin your descent towards Huayracmachay where you will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by our local cook. After lunch, continue descending through the humid forest to Chaullay, from where you will travel in a local vehicle for 1 hour to Sahuayaco beach, where you will spend the second night of camping.
At 5:40 pm hot drink time, at 6:40 p.m. dinner inside the humid jungle.

Day 3: Sahuayaco Beach – Llactapata – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes.

Today will be an unforgettable, unique and wonderful day because you will explore the best part of the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu 4 Days through Llaqtapata. It is an unexplored and unknown place by hikers, guides and travel companies. To begin the walk along this beautiful Inca trail through Llaqtapata. Have breakfast at 6:00 a.m. and then, take the recently discovered Inca Trail to the archaeological site of Llaqtapata. As you ascend, you will have impressive panoramic views, even more so when you are in Llaqtapata, since in the distance and among the high slopes of the Andes, you will be able to see the Inca city of Machu Picchu. After exploring, descend towards the hydroelectric power station where you will enjoy your last lunch prepared by our local expedition cook. After lunch, say goodbye to the cook and other members of the expedition. Then you will have 2 options to get to Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes). The first option is to walk along the railway for 3 hours. The second option is to travel by train for 40 minutes (train tickets can be purchased on the spot).
At 6:30 p.m. Dinner at a restaurant in Machu Picchu town and accommodation in a hotel.

DAY 4: Machu Picchu Tour – Return to Cusco

Today you will visit Machu Picchu, which is the main destination of the Salkantay trek 4 Days.
Within the city of Machu Picchu, take a 2.5-hour walk together with your guide. Your tour guide will take you to all the places of great importance and will explain everything about this enigmatic Inca city. If you have an access ticket to Huaynapicchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain, go up on your own.
After exploring the Inca city of Machu Picchu, go down to the town of Aguas Calientes. You also have two options: you can go down by bus or walking. Once in town, have lunch on your own and in the afternoon, at the time indicated on your train ticket, go to the station. Board your train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting to accompany you to your hotel in Cusco.
